What are the five emerging areas of tech that will have the most impact on media and advertising? I recently had the chance to tackle that question in a presentation to several local media and advertising execs.

Leading off the list of topics were VR and AR, as they’ll offer new ways of searching for and discovering things around us (especially AR). That has implications for driving local commerce, such as finding a good bar in a new neighborhood.
