A dedicated launchpad for AR ad insights

Beyond ARtillery Pro’s standard packages, we’ve begun to create topical editions, starting with advertising. This takes much of the content already housed in ARtillery Pro — plus new features — and organizes it for specific needs.

ARtillery Pro: Ad Exec offers advertising executives and startups a launchpad for spatial smarts, including a focused dashboard that assembles all of our data, reports, insights and case studies from the developing worlds of AR advertising and commerce.

See the full feature set below, and check out ARtillery Pro’s standard (non advertising-centric) packages here. You can also see ARtllery’s market-sizing methodology here, disclosure & ethics policy here, and privacy policy here.

Testimonials
People are talking.
Michael (ARtillery Intelligence) is a well-versed industry expert on AR and VR, and has authored multiple thought leadership pieces in the industry. Mike’s also been a knowledgeable speaker at a variety of conferences. I would recommend Mike for any kind of business strategy-related activity.
Kristi Cu
Strategy & Product, Building 8 / Facebook
Mike [ARtillery Intelligence] is, hands down, one of the best industry analysts I have ever worked with in my career. Mike provided great counsel to my company, Invoca, as we renamed/rebranded the company and announced Series C funding… I wish I could clone him.
Brett Smith
Communications Manager / Prezi

Michael Boland’s team at ARtillery Intelligence delivers original, relevant and well prepped/delivered insights and data analytics on the market trends that matter across the extended reality ecosystem.
Reynaldo Zabala
XR Strategy Director / RazorEdge
As growth capital investors, we’re accustomed to completing thorough market diligence and speaking with many industry analysts and experts. Mike Boland [ARtillery Intelligence] is top-tier in terms of aptitude for digital transformation and, equally important, translating that into value creation and opportunity spotting.
Mike McClure
Principle / Sageview Capital
ARtillery Intelligence and Mike Boland have deep insights and data-backed narratives for XR’s impact. They’re a useful and valuable resource for anyone vetting business opportunities in these emerging fields.
Prem Nagarathnam
Global Strategist / Samsung
I couldn’t be more fortunate than to get to work with Mike and ARtillery Intelligence on a daily basis to build the VRARA’s SF operations. His background as a journalist and analyst help him synthesize the deluge of information coming to us in the VR/AR industries, and to find the salient points upon which to focus. He makes running events look easy, and that’s because of the tremendous amount of legwork that he does leading up to them to make sure they go off without a hitch.
Emily Olman
CEO & Co-founder / Spatial First
People in the industry look to Michael Boland and ARtillery Intelligence as the leading source of emerging trends, industry shift and innovation. Michael Boland is an industry term, as it’s not just his name anymore. He’s an excellent public speaker and company representative as I’ve had the pleasure of watching Mike build his impeccable reputation dramatically over the last decade. Mike is a leader in strategy, product, operations and innovation and would be a key asset to growing any company he consults with or works for. He has the Midas touch, as every project he’s worked on turns to gold, I’ve witnessed this at both BIA Kelsey and The VR/AR Association.
Kelly Benish
VP, Business Development / Navads
I have known Mike for over 10 years. He is one of those analysts who really “gets it.” He and ARtillery Intelligence have a good track record of spotting trends and writing/speaking about the technologies that will have the most impact on our lives and wallets.
Ron Braunfeld
VP, Business Development / Pingup
I’ve seen Mike [ARtillery Intelligence] on stage many times and he’s one of the best presenters I’ve ever seen
Michele Chaboudy
President / Macabbey & Associates
There are so many people in this space that covet their ideas, and this is what cripples our space. Mike and ARtillery Intelligence have for years always been a driving force behind identifying emerging trends and sharing them with the world by either writing about it in one of his many publications, or standing on stage and delivering it at conferences.
Walt Geer
Creative Director / Verve Mobile
Mike [ARtillery Intelligence] is a triple threat: analyst, writer and public speaker. As an analyst, Mike not only knows how to identify and follow emerging trends, he knows how to share them in a way that’s digestible. On stage, Mike is confident, charming and informative. When writing, Mike is thorough, fair and precise. Mike makes analysis look easy because he puts the rigor necessary into being a thought leader.
Stacey Sedbrook
VP, Sales / Denver Business Journal
Michael [ARtillery Intelligence] is a smart analyst that has in-depth understanding of technology and the changes they are driving in the marketplace… His data-driven presentations and articles are always insightful to understand the customer needs and future direction.

FAQ
Common questions answered.

Q: How do you come up with your numbers?

A: For market-sizing, we apply best practices and industry standards in quantitative analysis, including bottom-up revenue modeling. For consumer survey data, we work closely with our partner Thrive Analytics, who has seasoned methodologies in survey science and large, diverse sample populations.

As for our credibility as analysts, we have 15 years of experience in research & tech sector analysis, and have spent the last four years focused on spatial computing specifically. Through that, we have our finger on the pulse of industry happenings, players and strategic analysis. Part of that comes from the rigor involved in covering the market on a daily basis for our sister publication AR Insider. More about our backgrounds and analyst credentials can be found here, and more about our research methodology can be found here.

Q: Is your content original or aggregated?

A: Both. Beyond our own original research and monthly reports, we’re big on the idea of saving subscribers time by having a one-stop-shop for intelligence and knowledge building. So we spend lots of time curating and collecting data beyond our own original research. This includes reports and case studies put out by companies in spatial computing (example). Collectively that makes the intelligence vault very extensive for an unmatched rate. We put lots of thought into how it’s all indexed, categorized and searchable so subscribers can find what they’re looking for quickly. And we’re readily available with the “Data Concierge” feature to help you find things.

Q: Do I need to technically be a startup to get the startup rate, an enterprise for the enterprise rate, and so on…?

A: No. The product tiers are built for suggested personas but anyone can subscribe at any level. Product tiers should be chosen based feature/goal alignment. An individual from an enterprise can subscribe at the individual rate if that feature set (one login, etc.) best aligns. But keep in mind that we don’t allow login/password sharing. Contact us if you’d like to customize packages, such as larger enterprise accounts that exceed 25 users.

Q: Do different subscription tiers get different access to content?

A: All subscription tiers get access to the full PRO intelligence vault, with the exception of

  1. Pro: Single subscribers do not have access to ARtillery’s original market-sizing forecasts which are produced three times per year. Instead, they are offered top-level forecast findings; and can access the full remainder of the extensive Pro library.
  2. Pro: Ad-Exec subscribers have a customized dashboard that has features and content-filtering tailored to their interests.

Otherwise, the difference in subscription tiers is mostly a function of the quantity of seats/logins, analyst access and data support (e.g. data concierge).

Q: $49-$99 per month seems cheap when some of your individual reports cost $2000. Does the PRO subscription include all reports or are any held back.

A: All subscription tiers get access to the full PRO intelligence vault, with the one exception of Pro: Single subscribers, who do not have access to ARtillery’s three annual market-sizing forecasts. They get access to everything else and are otherwise only limited by quantity of seats or support (e.g. Data Concierge).

Regarding subscription vs individual report pricing, we set it up that way to incentivize people towards greater ongoing value of a recurring subscription. We’re confident in the value and utility of the subscription and want the chance to prove that to you. If you see the value and subscribe for multiple terms, that bet pays off. But that said, we make it easy to cancel at any time in your account dashboard.

Q: What is the subscription term and how does that work?

A: We bill for subscriptions in six-month increments with pricing that aligns with the monthly rates specified above. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled, which is very easy to do in your subscriber dashboard.

Q: So I can cancel any time?

A: Yes, there are comprehensive account management options after you log in. That includes the ability to cancel anytime. When you cancel, service continues through the full term, but does not auto-renew. For example, if you’re working on a limited-term project and just want one subscription term, you can sign up an cancel right away while it’s fresh on your mind, Or you can set yourself a calendar alert for some future date prior to auto-renewal. If you forget and then notice you’ve been auto-renewed against your will, contact us within a few days and we’ll refund you. We’re easy-going about these matters.

Q: What if I want a quantity of seats/logins thats different from the standard amounts listed?

A: We have flexible enterprise rates and can work with you to customize packages and seat access on a pro-rated basis (including bulk discounts). Reach out to us.

Q: Our organization is growing. Can I upgrade mid-term?

A: We can handle that too. You can upgrade (or downgrade for that matter) to/from any of the PRO tiers and the remaining service term will be automatically pro-rated accordingly.

Q: We have budget now and the financial period is ending. Can we pay in advance for the next year?

A: Absolutely. Default terms are to pay for six months at a time, auto-renewed unless canceled. But we have other packages available or can easily customize something for you that meets your timing goals around budgetary matters. Reach out to us.

Q: I have more questions
